This is actually one of my daddy's recipes. He's a commercial fisherman, but he finds time to make this whenever the family is together. But don't be fooled this simple recipe is one of the best out there.
This inspired version of a caesar dressing is bursting with flavor. Minced garlic, dry mustard powder, hot pepper sauce, and cayenne give this dressing a unique zip. Blue cheese salad dressing and grated Parmesan cheese makes it extra creamy.
Brie cheese smothered with fresh figs cooked with brown sugar, vanilla, and almonds, then baked until almost melted. Serve warm with water crackers as a wonderful holiday appetizer or special treat during fig season. Canned figs in syrup may be substituted for fresh by reducing the brown sugar to 1/4 cup and replacing the water with syrup.
